Privacy policy
What happens to your document.
A plain-language explanation of the data Plainmark needs to complete a conversion.
Files you upload
Plainmark temporarily stores an uploaded PDF and its conversion output so the review workspace can display them. A cleanup routine removes conversion folders older than 24 hours when the service processes later conversions. Hosting restarts may remove temporary files sooner.
How files are used
Your PDF is used only to perform the conversion and return the review result. Plainmark does not use uploaded documents to train AI models and does not send their contents to third-party AI services.
Anonymous feedback
If you select Yes or Not quite on the homepage, Plainmark records the selected answer with a timestamp. The feedback record does not include your PDF, file name, Markdown, email address, or account identity.
Accounts and cookies
Plainmark does not currently provide user accounts. The application does not intentionally set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Sensitive documents
Do not upload material when your organization, contract, or applicable law requires a specifically approved storage or processing environment. You remain responsible for deciding whether a document is appropriate to upload.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as Plainmark adds hosting, analytics, or account features. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes materially.
